28  When You Are Anxious, You Need a Nice, Quiet Place to Go

Welcome to the twenty-eighth of my 30 daily tips on Health!

You’ve heard that stress is the main cause for illness, haven’t you?

That said, when you are anxious or stressful, YOU need to make a change, because the more stress you have, the more harmful it is to yourself and your body.

That said, wouldn’t it be great to have a nice, quiet place to go where you can relieve the stress?  Somewhere where you can relax and take a deep breath. Some place you can go when you are anxious or stressed, where you can metamorphose into a relaxed human being.

Well, you can.  All you need is a comfortable chair to a corner, somewhere off by itself. If you want to, you can add a small table near by, maybe a candle with a scent you like. Maybe play some soft music. Maybe not.  Whatever it takes to help you feel comfortable.

Let’s face it.  You can’t be relaxed and comfortable, AND stressed and anxious at the same time. So which would you pick?

There will be times, maybe, when you aren’t near the quiet place you’ve made for yourself.  If that’s the case, just imagine a quiet place in your mind. Because, either place is capable of changing your physiology and your thoughts.

Why? Because your brain does not know the difference between real or vividly imagined.

So, if it’s in your mind, visualize whatever you want that will relax you.  Maybe a staircase or hallway that takes you to your quiet room, a door you will shut behind you, your comfortable chair, the small table near it with a candle. Visualize/imagine hearing the soft music, smelling the candle, feeling the relaxation immediately upon entering the room and sitting in the chair.

Make sure to program these areas, in your mind and in your home, with happiness, peace, joy.

You need to know that no matter what is happening in your life, when you sit in that chair, whether in reality or in your mind, you are feeling the peace… Immediately.

Accept nothing less. KNOW that the minute you sit in that chair, you are at peace. Stress evaporates when you sit down.  Imagine that, know that.

Take the time to continually show your brain what you want and your brain will make that visualization your reality.

Stress and anxiety are no longer a part of your life because you have learned how to get rid of stress and anxiety… the minute you walk into your quiet place and sit down.
