Welcome to the sixth of my 30 daily tips on Health!
I used the “Visualize The Pain” technique, or a variation of it, for my mom many times. I lived over an hour’s drive from her, but we talked on the phone at 8 in the morning, every week day we could.
If she was having any aches or pains, I helped her and she always felt better afterwards. At this time in her life (she was 81 years old), she was having some hip and knee problems.
This is what we did (and almost anyone can do it). I guided her into visualizing the pain. I asked her to give it a size, a shape, a color, a smell, a taste and a texture. (I realize some of them might be hard to imagine, just do the best you can.) Then I had her slowly turn it into a smooth, hard block of ice. When she had it really hard and icy cold, I’d have her take a laser heat beam and beam into the center of the ice, shattering it. I have her watch as the shattered ice melts. When it is all gone, so is her pain. Sounds simple, I know, but it worked almost every time for her. On the few occasions that it didn’t completely take the pain away, we just repeat the process until it’s gone.
