Question: Videos of bad guys having students/helpers/apprentice?

Lately I've been watching TV shows/ Movies where the bad guys have students that follow them and are basically their best allies. For example: Soujiro in Samurai X (obeys shishio who is a real bad killer) in the Movie 'Hellboy' Kroenen is Hitler's top assassin. I was just curious if there is a show/ movie where the bad and good guy's best students fight each other. [karate kid would be a good example]

I know this is vague but Agent Smith in the Matrix movies goes against his boss basically which is the whole machine world i guess. In judge dredd also the guys friend who turns bad goes against Dredd in the end, I just don't got much.
