Hello. I watched the Apprentice on 11.10.05. The firing
of Brian was definitely justified because his time management skills
are lacking and he's a poor presenter. Marshawn on the other hand was
by far one of the most if not the most strongest players on that show.
I definitely thought that she would win. Her speaking skills are excellent
and she's extremely intelligent. She's sharp and if I owned a business
she'd be the first person I'd hire out of those candidates. The only
other person close is Alla. Im upset Marshawn isn't going to win because
I really was hoping she'd pull through and maybe one day if I got lucky
I could work for her.

My comment is on the final task given the Tana and Kendra.
I've watched
almost every episode this season and all of the challenges have been
the
same. The final task, in my opinion, was totally lopsided from a management
standpoint. These two tasks were like comparing apples and oranges.
Kendra
had a walk in the park doing the Playstation 2 promotional event. She
didn't have very many individual parties to please and the total weight
of
the event was not very heavy. Tana on the other hand basically represented
the entire country and the state of New York for the 2012 Olympics.
This is
a HUGE event involving countries world wide and a huge number of individuals
to accommodate. There are some states that would "kill" to
host this event
and all this weight was placed on Tana's shoulder's. She made split
second
decisions and kept the event moving. Yes it was a slightly bumpy road
but
the job was completed. I just hope this final event isn't the lone factor
for deciding the next Apprentice.
Thanks
Mr. Pitts

Just a few comments about your Kendra reviews during past
weeks when you said she wasn't doing much. Are we watching the same
show? How come you didn't notice that during week 7 (mini-golf) she
came up with the idea to negotiate cross-promotional deals (exclusive
rights) with other attractions in the area. Carolyn was very impressed
with this idea and mentioned it as the key reason for the team's win;
in one interview Carolyn apparently called it a stroke of genius. And
your review is saying she didn't do much during that task ?!
During pizza task she and Tana were responsible for marketing; not clear
which one of them came up first with an idea to promote pizza to the
offices, but it appeared from interviews to be Kendra's. You seem to
be assuming it was all Tana's, but Kendra's experience with marketing
and her performance on the golf task (as well as some interviews) points
to its' being Kendra's. Especially since it seems that Tana is not above
taking somebody else's credit, whereas Kendra
is not -- her monologue about how she doesn't deserve the reward (after
Home Depot task) shows that she is not above admitting her mistakes
and giving credit to others.
Similarly, both Tana and Kendra were equally responsible for doing
market research in the gadget wear task -- again you seem to be giving
Tana all the credit for it, but we don't really know whose idea it
was. Kendra faltered a bit in designing the female wear here - her
only week moment.

My reply:
Hi Koshka,
I appreciate it when people email their
opinions. You are right.
I think the deal is, I just can't seem
to be impartial with Kendra. It seems like she is always frowning
and I don't seem to get past that to give her credit where credit
is due.
Thanks for writing.

Although I do not believe Chris should keep making it
through the boardroom without getting a proper firing, Alex bothers
me even more. Donald fired Stephanie for being negative. What he is
missing is that Alex has never been a star on his team. Makes me wonder
how well Donald actually keeps track of what is actually going on during
the assignments. Alex has always came out with something negative to
say about his team during every task I can remember. Donald is missing
the real talent 100%. Tana, Bren and Craig are the contenders. They
have all exhibited excellent leadership skills and have not tried to
dish everyone on each task.
Last night I wanted to jump through the TV screen into the boardroom
and point out to Donald that there is another way of looking at Alex's
lack of success since being sent over to Net Worth. Perhaps the brilliant
business talent on the Magna team, especially since Tana and Craig came
aboard, has helped override Alex's total inadequacy as an Apprentice
contender. Carolyn was on to him last night (4.7.05), but Donald ignored
the line of questioning she was leading into.
Chris will not make it, that is a given. He should have been fired quite
awhile ago. So far the only person I have actually hated to see leave
was Erin. She had been one of my choices for one of the finalists, but
lo and behold, she had to flash that smile and basically insult George
and Carolyn to boot. Still I love her. She's a credit to female's everywhere
despite the occasional use of her sex appeal.
What also angered me last night was when Trump also blamed Angie for
leaving the jacket behind. As if she didn't have enough to do already.
She should have been PM. Anything that did get done was to her credit
on last nights task. I am not an Angie fan at all, but last night's
boardroom was totally unfair for her. Trump mentioned that she had been
in the boardroom the last 6 weeks. First I'm not sure if that is 100%
correct. Secondly two of those times had to do with her being the PM
and, of course, being Angie's security blanket. Remember, Angie called
her in only because she was scared to face the heat against Michael
and Craig alone. Trump, himself, did not even know why she was there.
Tana is my favorite. She's strong, positive and does not let disaster
phase her much. The only time I was disappointed in her was the Home
Depot project. Although she did a great job with the kids, she turned
on poor Craig. Craig and Bren are my other choices. I just can't figure
out which is going to go up against Tana. In all honesty, it could very
well be Alex since Trump is blind when it comes to him. After all, Jennifer
snuck by with her negative, backstabbing business tactics last time.
I still remember the Levi task. She did nothing until it came time to
claim the credit that was mistakenly placed on her. That's when I began
to wonder if Donald even watched his own show. If he had he would have
known that. Perhaps businessmen have a different philosophy when it
comes to ethical behavior, but stealing the credit when you offered
nothing to reap the reward is a line I wouldn't want to cross. Maybe
that's why I'm not a businessperson!
Anyway, I welcome any reply you have. My husband watches with me and
enjoys the show but he's not one for discussing it afterwards. I'm kind
of alone in my love for the show around here even though I'm from Tana's
town, Des Moines. Thanks for the opportunity to talk and read your insights
into the program.
Sincerely,
Jodi Mehl
